Delete any old networks

Used the Shmoocon network in previous years? If you have any settings for the Shmoocon network still in your device, delete them first.

Add the Shmoocon-wpa network

  • Go to settings
  • Select the shmoocon-wpa network
  • Enter the username and password you created
  • You will be shown the certificate. Confirm that the fingerprint matches. The fingerprint of the Shmoocon 2025 server certificate (SHA1) is:
    3C:08:F6:53:B6:9D:3D:BA:51:8C:48:61:CF:B4:6A:9F:64:FC:95:ED
    and the signing CA certificate has the SHA1 fingerprint:
    F9:36:4D:08:E8:5F:AA:F5:29:1D:37:88:67:BB:9F:5E:A6:4F:7D:60
  • Enter the username and password you created

If you have trouble connecting where it does not accept your username and password, and the password screen appears to “bounce”:

  • Go to Settings
  • Wi-Fi
  • Select shmoocon-wpa network from the Wi-Fi list
  • At the screen that asks for the Username and Password, if you see “Security Settings”
  • Select EAP-TLS
  • Select Automatic
  • Hit the back button
  • Log in again

We think this is related to having a company profile on the device.
